Mastika is produced from grape distillate and flavored with aniseed. It is a national drink of Macedonia.

Mastika is very similar in taste to Pastis-Anis drinks, with strength of 45% vol/alc.

Drinking suggestions:

Straight or mixed with cold water(1:5)

Traditionally drank as an aperitif with "Taratur Salad" (mixed cucumber, garlic, red paprika with yogurt)

Distilled and bottled in Macedonia.
